Inwardly criticized
Desperate for change
This place is strange
It will be missed
but I need a catalyst

Anxious Love
Poetry Great days are filled with many faces
and exciting new places
Outside the birds are singing
In the breeze, the trees are swinging
Silence is filled with talk and laughter
Smiling so much it hurts after
Good friends, good food
Will keep you in a good mood
All the way into the night
Go way up, take flight
Get wild, get weird
Nothing to be feared
It’s just friends here
and there’s beer near

Days and Nights
Poetry Crack, hiss
Morning soda, who does this?
Pill bottle rattles
As if to tattle
Chairs squeak
As if to speak
Coffee pot spits
Caffeine to keep our wits
Computers on, screens glow
Why is everything so slow
Another cup of coffee
To shake sleep off me
You can hear the roar
Of everyone’s keyboard
Clack, clack, clack
Our fingers attack

Office Grind. I wrote this poem back when I worked in the program management department with several other people. The company had an open floor plan for everyone to see and communicate with each other easily. This also meant that you could hear everything. We all accomplished a lot in this department so we were all grinding. Office grind, it’s a state of mind. 😉
Poetry So what, I like to be silly willy
Sometimes life can be hilly
There are ups and downs, but don’t you fret
Yes, sometimes life can make you sweat
But it’s ok, it’s alright
Just remember to hang on tight
Grab life by the handle bars!
Go, Go, Go. Fast as cars
Keep it moving right along
Sometimes you need a different song
To get that pep in your step
Left, Left, Left, Right, Left
March, even when everything is Effed
Keep it up, don’t get furious
All you can do is get a little curious

A fire so hot, it cannot be fought
With every fiber it burns, insatiable it yearns
A spark you cannot hide, it won’t be denied
This growing flame, unable to tame
Give into the heat, feel the power so sweet
